Parking Ticket Contesting Form

***Parking fines and associated late fees are scheduled to change July 1, 2010**

The Referee Sessions on Monday and Tuesday (August 30th and 31st, 2010) are cancelled. Referee sessions will resume regularly posted hours on Wednesday, September 1, 2010.

How Does It Work?

If you have a problem related to a parking citation and wish to contest the citation, a parking referee is available to hear your complaint.

Parking Referee's Schedule (Effective February 16th, 2010):

Monday: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Thursday: Closed
Friday: 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
 

All Referee Sessions are held at:   2000 S. Industrial, Ann Arbor, MI 48104

If you are unable to appear in person, you are welcome to communicate through the mail or email. Please be specific about the nature of the problem and include details such as vehicle license plate number, date of incident, location, time, and citation number or the original/photocopy of the citation would be preferred.

To communicate with the Parking Referee via email, please fill in the form and click Submit. All of the information below MUST be provided completely in order for the Referee to respond to your appeal.


Please note that this form works best with Internet Explorer 5.0 (or greater) and some other browsers. However, it does NOT currently work properly with Mozilla Firefox.

An automatic confirmation message indicating your appeal has been submitted will be displayed if you have transmitted the online contest form successfully. If the confirmation message does not appear, please check to make sure all required information has been entered including valid email address and word verification at the bottom of the screen.

Alternately, you may mail in your appeal to: Parking Referee, 100 N. Fifth Ave, P.O. Box 8647, Ann Arbor MI 48107 or send an e-appeal to parking@a2gov.org with any necessary attachments (e.g. copy of permit or placard). In your email, please be sure to include all the information requested in the contest form shown below.

Please note that fines do not increase while the citation is on hold and being reviewed. Parking ticket payments made on citations that are on hold represents your wish to admit responsiblity for the citation and will not be refunded.
